Mechanical Process

In the mechanical process, the first step involves the processing of the pulp. The wood chips are ground using large mechanical grinders. After this, the pulp is diluted with water and passed through a series of rollers.  As a taco wrapping paper, we make sure each and every step is done with attention to detail so the paper quality will remain impeccable. For this, we pass the paper through rollers that give the desired texture to the paper, and then it is cut into specific dimensions. 

In the chemical process, we break the wood into cellulose fibers by chemically breaking down lignin. Sodium hydroxide and sodium sulfide are the two chemicals that are used in this regard. The resulting pulp obtained from this process is called sulfate or kraft pulp. This process is vital to get a stronger and whiter kraft paper that has more absorbent properties.

The selection of coating is based on the intended purpose of use (whether to use in the oven or to be placed in the refrigerator) and the desired look. This GSM is necessary to make sure that the paper is light enough to wrap around the tacos but also has the ability to absorb grease and retain its structure.
